Passengers can now
buy snacks and drinks by scanning QR codes in more than 400 taxis across Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province, much like an “in-vehicle convenience store," Modern Express reported. The pilot program is also a gesture to increase taxi drivers' incomes as each driver will receive 15 percent for every item sold, according to Ling Qiang, secretary-general of the city’s taxi association.
