Saudi Ministry introduces 'Nusuk' smart card
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced the Nusuk smart card to enhance the experience for pilgrims during Hajj.
The Nusuk platform, overseen by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, offers a seamless Hajj experience for pilgrims from serviced countries. It serves as a one-stop-shop, providing various Hajj packages offered by authorized service providers1.
The card serves as a comprehensive data item required for pilgrims to access holy sites and navigate around Makkah. It allows authorities to easily identify and verify pilgrims, preventing unauthorized entry to holy sites2.
Pilgrims can evaluate services provided by Hajj companies, campaigns, hotels, and related services using the Nusuk card.
Pilgrims receive the print copy of the Nusuk card through their respective Hajj missions or service-provider companies and establishments with which they have contracts for performing the pilgrimage.
