Google Wallet goes live with Visa cards in Jordan

Visa cardholders in Jordan can now use Google Wallet for contactless NFC mobile payments for the first time.

At launch, the service is available to customers of three local banks: Arab Bank, Investbank, and Al Rajhi Bank Jordan.

This rollout by Google and Visa follows the introduction of Apple Pay in Jordan earlier this year.

“Google Pay offers a fast, easy, and secure way for users to make payments with their Android phone or Wear OS device,” said Ben Volk, general manager of Google Pay and Google Wallet.
