Appeals court denies request in RFID tracking badge battle

The courts have, once again, sided with Northside Independent School District in a battle over RFID tracking badges. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals denied a request for an injunction that would prohibit Northside ISD from removing sophomore Andrea Hernandez from John Jay Science & Engineering Academy pending the outcome of her case. Hernandez has refused to wear a chipless RFID tracking badge based on her religious beliefs.
