Researcher develops smarter goose breeding with RFID technology
A local researcher has turned goose-breeding "smart" with the use of radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to keep track of geese which are particularly fruitful when it comes to birthing goslings. Chang Shen-chang, an assistant researcher at the Livestock Research Institute under the Council of Agriculture, spent four years of trial and error adapting the technology, commonly seen in many high-end smartphones, to the task of tracking specific geese.
