HID Global Bolsters RFID Business With TSL Acquisition

HID Global has finalized its acquisition of Technology Solutions UK Ltd (TSL). TSL is best known as a developer of rugged RFID readers, and currently designs and manufactures handheld devices for a number of different applications.

According to HID Global, TSL’s handheld readers are primarily used for asset management, giving companies an easy way to monitor their inventory and keep tabs on products in their supply chain. However, the readers can ultimately be used in any industry that utilizes RFID tags.

TMC Labs presented HID Global with its 2020 Pandemic Tech Innovation Award for developing a COVID-19 contact tracing solution with Bluetooth technology. HID Global’s Seos tech has since been integrated into the Nymi Band. The company has also made its NOMAD fingerprint readers compatible with iOS devices.
