Tooth Sensor Can Track What You Eat

Researchers from Tufts University have developed a tiny sensor that can be placed on the tooth to track information about what the person is eating in real-time that could allow detection and recording of a variety of nutrients, chemicals and physiological states.

The researchers have extended common RFID [radiofrequency ID] technology to a sensor package that can dynamically read and transmit information on its environment.

The sensir determines the spectrum and intensity of the radiofrequency waves. Moreover, since it makes use of ambient radio-frequency signals that are already present around us, it doesn’t require a power supply.
