Mongolia to start using RFID chips for electronic identification of cars
About 470,000 vehicles have been registered in the provinces of Mongolia, and 650,000 in Ulaanbaatar, according to AKIpress.
One million vehicles actively participating in traffic will be equipped with RFID chips or electronic certificates for vehicle technical control.
The project is scheduled to start on March 1, 2023. No fees will be charged for installing electronic inspections or RFID chips in cars during the first quarter of this year.
