National Payments Corporation of India launches NFC-enabled QR codes
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has recently introduced a range of United Payments Interface (UPI) services.
UPI Tap & Pay NFC-enabled QR codes: Consumers can pay for in-store purchases by tapping their NFC device instead of scanning the QR code itself.
The NFC-enabled UPI Lite X digital wallet allows users to send and receive money even when offline, making it possible to initiate and execute transactions in areas with poor connectivity, such as underground stations and remote areas.
These services aim to enhance the convenience and accessibility of digital payments in India.
