Fujitsu develops 'MRI safe' RFID tags

The Textilligence UHF tags, supplied by Fujitsu, are said to the only tags known in the industry containing antennas made of non-ferrous material. Tests, first performed by a Dutch hospital, have now been confirmed by other tests in hospitals in the USA and Austria. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a type of scan that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the inside of the body.
