Sensors and proximity sensing for light-curtain applications

New Yorker Electronics now offers a new series of Vishay Intertechnology IR sensor modules intended for light curtain and perimeter guard applications.

In comparison to previous-generation devices, the fixed-gain sensors provide higher interference strength with no spurious signals and an output pulse width nearer to the optical burst length. Also, they give an almost constant detection threshold over their -25C to +85C temperature range and can identify a valid IR signal up to a higher DC illuminance level.
