Board Challenges QR Code Voting System
The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to approve a resolution that would eliminate the QR codes used in Georgia's statewide voting system.
According to Commission Chairman Harry Johnston, the board has received many requests from the public to adjust the voting system but does not have the power to make the change.
Despite a lack of evidence that the QR technology has been used to manipulate the vote historically, it has nevertheless "caused distrust in the voting system" among Cherokee County residents.
