Google Wallet Arrives in Bangladesh

On June 24, 2025, Google officially launched Google Wallet — commonly branded as Google Pay for payments — in Bangladesh, in partnership with City Bank, Mastercard, and Visa. 

City Bank customers can now securely add their Mastercard or Visa debit/credit cards to Google Wallet and make contactless payments simply by tapping their Android devices at compatible POS terminals — both locally and internationally.

Transactions use advanced encryption, and small purchases may not require a PIN, enhancing speed and user experience.
