RFID-maker Arizon to open first US manufacturing site in Houston
A leading Taiwanese RFID manufacturer has chosen Houston as the location for its first U.S.-based production facility. The company is securing a 30,000-square-foot manufacturing space to begin operations, with plans to expand to a 100,000-square-foot factory and R&D center in the future.
Houston was selected due to its port access and available industrial space, making it an ideal hub for the company’s U.S. expansion. The facility will focus on inventory-management technology, assembling materials sourced from Taiwan. The company aims to fully own its U.S. manufacturing operations within five years.
This move is part of a broader trend of Taiwanese electronics firms investing in Texas, strengthening trade relations between the U.S. and Taiwan. Major players like Foxconn, Compal, and Inventec are also expanding their presence in the state, particularly in AI server production.
