Wiliot Joins Advisory Board of Auburn University’s RFID Lab

Wiliot has officially become a member of the advisory board at Auburn University’s RFID Lab.

In this role, Wiliot will help promote the Ambient IoT market by showing how its Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensing and data-streaming technology complements traditional RFID to provide continuous, AI-ready visibility throughout supply chains.

Amir Khoshniyati, Wiliot’s Head of Strategy & Business Development, will represent the company on the board.

Auburn’s advisory board already includes more than 30 companies from both technology and end-user sectors, offering a wealth of expertise to help advance supply chain and sensor innovation.

Khoshniyati said RFID has provided a strong foundation for supply-chain visibility, but Ambient IoT takes it further by introducing continuous sensing, real-time data flows, and automated intelligence.

Ambient IoT enables a network of battery-free, Bluetooth-based sensors—known as IoT Pixels—that capture live data on location, temperature, humidity, light, and other conditions as goods move through the supply chain.

This stream of item-level data creates a new layer for AI systems, helping companies make faster, smarter, and more sustainable decisions.
