Scientists have designed more reliable UHF-RFID tag

Scientists from the University of Barcelona and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya have designed and 3D printed an enhanced, more reliable UHF-RFID tag.

The device features a biconical antenna design with embedded wire strips to improve its overall bandwidth, and a dielectric coating to prevent its signal from being interfered with.

The potential of additive manufacturing in the development of more compact antenna systems has already been realized within a broad range of end-use applications.
