PragmatIC and German ally form RFID partnership

Cambridge-based PragmatIC, a pioneer in ultra-low cost flexible electronics, and German powerhouse Mühlbauer, a proven technology supplier of RFID and smart label production and personalisation solutions, have agreed a strategic partnership. The companies have been working together since 2018 and Mühlbauer has qualified assembly of PragmatIC’s unique flexible integrated circuits (FlexICs) with its market leading production system. This partnership aims to deliver a dramatic reduction in the cost of RFID solutions which will accelerate the adoption of RFID in mass market products such as FMCGs (fast moving consumer goods).
