Transact taps Google Pay to introduce NFC-enabled mobile credential

Arizona-based software firm Transact has introduced native NFC contactless mobile IDs for college students. The technology, Transact Mobile Credential, leverages Google Pay on Android phones to enable students make payments and access facilities around the college campus. The move eliminates the need to carry multiple credentials while navigating around the campus. Following the roll-out, students can use their Android mobile phones with Google Pay at NFC-enabled readers to conduct transactions.
