Hana Technologies Joins Circular Rubber Platform for Sustainable RFID Solutions

Hana Technologies (Hana RFID) announced it joined the Circular Rubber Platform. Hana RFID said this strengthens its commitment to sustainability in the tire and rubber industry through enhanced RFID tire traceability.

Since 2005, Hana RFID has been involved in RFID tire traceability, enabling tracking from production to recycling. By embedding RFID tire tags, Hana said it gives each tire a unique digital identity that supports full lifecycle tracking.

An RFID tire tag is a small embedded device that uses radio frequency identification to help track, monitor, and manage tires. These tags create digital twins of tires and integrate with fleet management systems, inventory tracking tools, and applications such as the European Digital Product Passport (DPP). 

Hana said it plans to collaborate with industry leaders to expand RFID adoption in sustainable tire lifecycle management. These efforts aim to reduce waste, maximize resource efficiency, and strengthen the use of RFID tire traceability across the industry.
