Google announces $29 Pixel Tag

Google has officially announced the Pixel Tag, its first-party tracker designed to work with the Find Hub network. The device is aimed at helping users locate lost items and will go on sale in November for $29. 

The Pixel Tag has a compact, pill-shaped design. It is intended to be attached to items such as keys, bags and other belongings. Google is positioning it as its answer to trackers such as Apple’s AirTag.

A key feature is Ultra Wideband (UWB) support. This enables more precise location tracking, with compatible phones able to determine the direction and distance to the Pixel Tag.

The tracker is integrated with Google’s Find Hub network, allowing users to locate it through their Android devices. Google had previously expanded Find Hub into a broader network for locating lost devices and accessories.

The Pixel Tag will cost $29, while a four-pack will be available for $99. Google plans to launch the tracker in November 2026. 

The announcement makes the Pixel Tag Google’s first in-house tracker for the Find Hub ecosystem, following years in which Android users had to rely on third-party trackers.
