Alo Yoga uses NFC to invite shoppers to its Roblox sanctuary
Upmarket athletic apparel brand Alo Yoga is integrating NFC stickers into the windows of its 150 global stores, offering customers access to its newly updated virtual sanctuary on Roblox.
These stickers grant visitors a free, exclusive virtual item available only to Roblox users who visit a physical Alo Yoga location.
Originally launched in 2021, Alo Yoga’s Roblox sanctuary has garnered 117 million visits, co-CEO Danny Harris told Women’s Wear Daily (WWD).
The revamped experience introduces running challenges, cold plunge therapy, interactive gym equipment, and Alo Moves yoga and meditation content.
For those looking to refresh their avatar’s wardrobe, Alo is rolling out paid items, including a mesh duffle, the Make Waves set, and the Alo Runner and Alo Recovery Mode sneakers.
