DFS to pilot digital product passports for furniture

DFS, a leading furniture manufacturer and retailer with 115 stores across the UK, has signed an agreement to trial digital product passports (DPPs).

Technovative Solutions, which is spearheading the pilot, describes it as a model for regulators, showcasing how DPPs can be effectively implemented and customized to meet industry demands.

“By partnering with innovative manufacturers like DFS, Technovative Solutions Ltd (TVS) and DigiProd Pass Ltd aim to highlight the transformative impact of DPPs in promoting sustainability and circularity across industries,” the company stated.

This announcement comes shortly after French retail brand Ligne Roset revealed plans to launch its own DPP pilot late last month.
