Vans Replaces Traditional Checkouts with iPhones at London Flagship Store

Vans’ newly redesigned flagship store on Oxford Street, London, has eliminated traditional checkout counters, instead equipping sales assistants with Apple iPhones to process contactless payments.

“With ‘Tap to Pay’ on iPhone at the core of this innovation, the devices function as fully integrated payment terminals,” explains solution provider Retail Reply.

Shoppers can complete transactions quickly and securely using physical cards, Apple Pay, or other digital wallets, creating a seamless checkout experience. By allowing sales assistants to handle payments directly on their iPhones, Vans has removed the need for additional hardware or dedicated payment terminals.
